Dream to reality! The extension we wanted for our home required the expertise to build not only a home fitness studio but also a purpose built pool with a high powered swimming jet installed. We wanted a builder who would be able to take on both projects and Nest Bespoke Homes were the perfect fit. From the first time Ryan came to hear my crazy vision, right through the design phase and into the building phase, there was nothing but professionalism, great communication and quality workmanship. With a build like this there’s always unforeseen situations and challenges however I was always impressed with how they were dealt with and often times altogether superior outcomes were provided. Advice was given along the way by Ryan and his team about things I hadn’t even considered that would make the end product so much better. Although Ryan and the boys swimming strokes leave a lot to be desired, the quality workmanship and attention to detail was where they shined and what impressed me most. I’m not very aesthetically inclined however they wouldn’t settle for anything that wasn’t high quality or take a short cut even if I said to. I’m still pinching myself in how they brought my dream to reality!

We went to the market to find a company to build our pool and also build our front fence and garden beds. It was difficult initially, to find one company who was happy to take the whole job on, in its entirety. After having Ryan from Nest Bespoke Homes over and discussing our thoughts we soon knew he was able and willing to complete the job. From initial planning and quote stage through construction to handover, the communication was excellent. Costs were monitored and over runs kept to a minimum. We live at Lota and our house was architecturally design by Think Tank Architects and construction completed in 2012. Ryan in his role of site supervisor supervised the construction of our home. Constraints of Brisbane City Council narrow block building regulations, issues with the block itself and our own open plan design requirements, resulted in very complex and unusual construction requirements in both the foundations and structural build. By renting a small house adjacent to our building site and being retired I was able to observe construction progress at all times. I was extremely impressed by the quality of trade work and the attention to detail that Ryan insisted on. From commencement to completion Ryan welcomed me onsite at anytime and on a regular basis would walk me through the site explaining various aspects of construction and at times suggested ideas for improvements or practicality relative to the architects design. Whenever I requested a change from the plan, nothing was too much trouble and I found him to be extremely obliging. I was also impressed with the manner in which the whole worksite was always kept tidy and free of rubbish at Ryan’s insistence. At 70 years of age it was a little daunting to take on building a new home. However dealing with Ryan soon put my mind at ease and the whole project became an exciting and pleasurable experience. I have the utmost confidence in Ryan’s ability and sincerity to produce a home to the highest standard that will satisfy the most discerning client. I have no hesitation in recommending Ryan to any prospective client and I would definitely engage Ryan should I decide to do build again.

We have recently built our house with Ryan Britton as our building supervisor, designer and draftsman. He did a fantastic job making sure everything ran smoothly, nothing was ever too much trouble and his attention to detail was amazing. From our first meeting with Ryan we were confident in him as our supervisor. He listened to what we wanted in our house and designed a house that is so functional and suits our family’s needs. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Ryan. As our house began to take shape we were further reassured in his ability to have his finger on the pulse with the building process. His subcontractors were also ready for praise of the excellent job that Ryan does. One of the carpenters told me that we were indeed lucky to have Ryan in charge of the building process; he said that he was one of the best supervisors he had ever worked with. We were so happy with how our house came together in fact we were able to see progress every day, which is something you want when you’re counting down the days until you move into your house. We indeed will be going back to Ryan to help us build our next house when the time arises and would have no hesitation in recommending him to our friends and family.

Ryan Britton supervised the building of our home in 2013. He came highly recommended by other people in our neighbourhood who had had their own builds supervised by Ryan. We were very happy with the supervision Ryan provided during the building process. He was always contactable and was at the site everyday to ensure the process went as smoothly as possible. Whenever any problems arose, Ryan handled them quickly and efficiently. Ryan was also intent on providing a quality product and always made sure that his employees and subcontractors completed their projects to a very high standard. Absolutely thrilled with our experience working with Ryan, Lauren and all the team from Nest Bespoke Homes! They built two houses for us on a steep site, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From the start, their professionalism and dedication were evident as they expertly navigated us through some challenging situations and various hurdles throughout the knock down, subdivide and build two houses project. Their problem-solving skills and communication kept us informed every step of the way. Lauren worked closely with us on the interior design to ensure our vision came to life while helping us stay within budget, she is on my perfectionist wavelength too. Nest Bespoke teams’ advice on what was truly important versus where we could save money was invaluable. You can expect quality craftsmanship without blowing your budget. No shoddy window joinery or wonky finishings, we like to think we are chilled out customers, but we do have high expectations. Ryan’s staff are also very polite, start early and work hard. Ryan thought of things we didn’t even know we wanted or needed. It wasn’t until we moved in, we discovered cool lights, provisions for Solar, security gates/alarm systems installed etc. Their subcontractors also maintain high standards, ensuring every detail meets their exceptional level of quality. And once you move in any little last touches that need done, they don’t do a Houdini! I have many friends that have waited weeks / months for their builders to return to do the final fixes. We highly recommend Ryan and the whole Nest team to anyone looking to build. Thank you for everything. We will be building again soon and next time it will be a flat section!

We were looking for a pool builder that would do our complete build including shaping our block and the removal of gardens. We had many quotes and form different pool builders and they where only interested in doing pool. Ryan from Nest Bespoke Homes from the start had no issues with doing the complete package along with managing the shed build and shed slab pour. All the staff that come to complete their parts of work where very obliging and easy to get along with. The finished product was everything we expected plus a little bit more. If you need a pool builder that you can trust this is the company for you.

We were looking for a local builder for our extension, one who was used to fitting in with an existing dwelling with existing residents and their quirkiness. Our first conversation with Ryan from Nest Bespoke Homes assured us we were choosing the right builder. Being our first time experience of dealing with a builder/contractor we were a bit apprehensive but we needn’t have been. I would have to have to say that even though we were having a one room extension done, we felt just as important to Nest Bespoke Homes as someone having a million dollar home constructed. While we still had to live in the house while construction was in progress, the way they conducted themselves and concern for being as little intrusive as possible was to be commended. Ryan obviously sets a high standard for his staff and tradesmen – as they exhibited the same courtesy and professionalism as we had come to expect from our first communication. We weren’t disappointed – you won’t be disappointed either.

We got a pool and pool house build through Nest. Outstanding. Completed on time and budget. Awesome group of trades which are friendly and easy to deal with. We would definitely use again in the future. Highly recommended.

We bought a large block in Wellington Point overlooking the ocean and wanted to turn the 2 story house on it into our dream home. We spoke with a number of builders large & small but felt they lacked the imagination for our project. My husband felt the house needed a much grander entrance & better street appeal. I wanted a dream kitchen with an island bench & butlers pantry. We wanted a fire place, more space down stairs and a view of the ocean when walking through the front door. We’re talking walls holding the house up had to go, all the floor coverings, stairs, some windows & doors ECT were going & a new garage would have to be built. I’m sure if you’re dreaming of changing your home around, you get the idea! Well they, the aforementioned builders didn’t!! It seems builders like to build things that you’ve completely designed and decided you want built! ideas, design, no you need to have that already done! We wanted something a little different, but to be fair didn’t know exactly what. At least, in terms of tying the finished project together to look as one, not the old bits & the new bits joined. Ryan & his wife Loren from Nest Bespoke Homes walked into our house with a different approach from other builders. From the off they were full of ideas & had a can-do positive energy. They were unconcerned that we didn’t have a finished picture of what ultimately we wanted to build and were happy to offer their knowledge and experience of what had worked well in other projects before. Ryan agreed to draw up a plan & chopped & changed it as the project took shape. He met us on numerous occasions before signing a contract & was transparent about costs and timeframes. When the job started they got on with it as promised, activity 5 days a week pretty much through to the end. Ryan’s guys were respectful to our neighbours & Benny in particular was a joy to work with, so many great ideas and solutions. Throughout the build process Ryan was in continuous contact with us and happy to meet on site to discuss any concerns. We’ve been back in our beautiful new home 5 months now and can reflect on using Nest Bespoke Homes to built it. In every respect of this project of ours, we feel Nest Bespoke Homes was a trusted partner all the way through to the finish. Ryan & Loren are local mum & dad builders that clearly treasure their reputation in the building industry. We recently added another room to our house and right from the start everything was easy with Ryan and his fantastic team. Although only a small job we never felt like anything was too hard or that it was any less important than any other job. Hi Ryan It’s taken a while to write a review which is probably a good thing because we have really had time to reflect on the process and what you have created for us. Mandy and I would like to thank you for delivering on your promise. We have built a few homes and have never had an experience as pleasurable as it was with your company. The patience, time and effort it takes to deliver a project that is on time on budget and with really good quality is not an easy thing to do but you have delivered in spades. The tight block and Character Code we had to comply with and the help you provided to design our home has ensured it will be a fantastic family home to just live in. Obviously this can’t happen without great trades and supervision. Phil did an awesome job on the supervision and we can’t thank him enough. His skill as a carpenter and his attention to detail has ensured a real quality build. The system you use (Buildertrend) to track the project is fantastic. I am a real fan as it allowed us as a client to track it daily. Everything that happened or that was to happen was at our disposal. We could track our selections against our budget and knew exactly where we stood all of the time. If I had a criticism it would be to post more photos but that could be due to the fact I am watching from 1200 kilometres away and couldn’t just pop out to the site whenever I wanted to. Thank you very much for everything you have done. We would most certainly be available for anyone that wanted to speak to us about the build, the process and the fun we had building with you. It’s a real pity we wont get to live in the home and really enjoy it for the home it is.

We chose Nest Bespoke homes to build our luxury home on the Manly Terraces after being recommended by a friend who had a similar great experience building with Ryan. Our design was quite bold placing the pool within a centre courtyard of the home having exposed structural steel suspended over the pool to support the upper floor. Additionally we had some unique finishes such as a seamless garage with custom clad door and a stepped slab design. Ryan was able to provide practical advice into the design and constructability of these elements which enabled us to save money without compromising on the aesthetics which is always appreciated. Ryan and his team were fantastic communicators and we were always informed of progress and construction remained on program the whole time. The site was always clean which is a sign of an organised site. Due to the quality of the drawings and clarity within the specification and contract, the build price was certain and we didn’t have any variations. We built this specific home with the intention on selling it upon completion to turn a profit. Amazingly, an interested party who had been watching the build progress made direct a direct offer to purchase the home as it was nearing completion. This customer was impressed with the quality of the build and the uniqueness of the design. The price was a record for a two story on Kingsley Terrace which is a testament to the quality of the home. We’re looking forward to building with Ryan and Nest shortly for our next project and wouldn’t hesitate to Recommend Ryan and his team.

We had our Hawthorne house substantially renovated and extended by Ryan, Phil and the team at Nest over the past 6 months, this being the second time we have built with Ryan. It was a smooth process from start to finish as expected, with any unexpected problems or concerns followed up and dealt with promptly by both Ryan and Phil. The whole crew were very accommodating with us choosing to live in the property for the entirety of the build while they worked around our life, keeping a tidy and safe job site at the same time. They were more than accommodating with our request for the order of work that allowed us to maintain facilities such as the bathroom.
