This stunning contemporary home, completed by Nest Bespoke Homes in early 2017, is nestled in the quaint seaside streets of Manly, in Brisbane’s southeast.
The unique challenge this build offered was the incredibly narrow block of land, coupled with the opportunity to take advantage of water views. Keeping this in mind, the finished result is a spacious two-storey home, with a large deck running the expanse of the facade on the upper level to make full use of the oceanic vistas.
Stepping inside, it is hard to believe that the home is positioned on such a narrow block. The home features high ceilings throughout and large windows to allow natural light to flood the area, which gives the impression of a luxury of space.
This home is a juxtaposition of masculine form and materiality, contrasted nicely against more feminine accents. Dark window and door frames, exposed metal beams and columns and clean, strong form are enhanced by the soft, warm tones of the timber flooring and feature cladding, and organic feature lighting choices.
